Funerals & life celebrations
I've noticed that the funerals that really stick with me aren't the sad ones, but the ones where I leave feeling... well, happy. Happy to have had that person in my life, happy to remember all the good times, and happy I could be there to say goodbye.
A funeral director acts as your agent and is there to carry out your instructions. They may offer a celebrant as part of their package but you can choose your own celebrant if you prefer. Just let them know who the celebrant is and they'll liaise with them.
If you choose me, I'll create a ceremony that provides comfort, celebrates a life well-lived, and allows you to say goodbye in a way that feels meaningful, authentic and fitting.
Here's how I can help:
Flexibility: Whether you have a traditional service in mind or something more unconventional, I'll work with you to create a ceremony that honours your loved one's wishes and your family's needs. We can include anything from photo and video tributes to a motorcycle escorted 'final ride'.
Personalised storytelling: I'll listen carefully to your stories and anecdotes to create a tribute that celebrates their life and legacy. A bespoke ceremony created just for them.
Creating a meaningful atmosphere: Together, we'll design a service that's authentic and comforting. This includes choosing music, readings, and any religious or non-religious symbolic gestures that mean something to you and your family.
Guiding the ceremony: I'll lead the service with sensitivity and professionalism, ensuring a smooth and respectful flow. I'll provide a calm and supportive presence, allowing you to focus on remembering and honouring your loved one.
Support and guidance: I understand this is a difficult time, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. I'll provide guidance and assistance in planning the ceremony, ensuring that it's a fitting and memorable farewell. This will help you and your family during the grieving process.
